Accommodation

Palacina Suites

For weary travelers who have seen many a hotel room, Palacina is a breath of fresh air.  It offers all the luxuries of a five star hotel, with special personalised service, a relaxed atmosphere and great attention to detail.  'The Suites' are Nairobi’s premier hotel room accommodation and are stylishly decorated and thoughtfully laid out.  Palacina is Nairobi's premier boutique

Great Rift Valley Lodge

Perched on the side of the Eburru Escarpment, overlooking the sparkling waters of Lake Naivasha and the sweeping floor of the world's largest valley, the Great Rift Valley Lodge & Golf Resort enjoys one of the most spectacular views in all of Africa.  Only 90 minutes from Nairobi, the resort offers walking and horse-riding safaris, and trips around volcanic lakes.

Sweetwaters Tented Camp

Once the private domain of famed millionaire, Adnan Khashoggi, this sheltered oasis offers a charming blend of under canvas ambiance and uncompromising luxury.  Its private status offers unique experiences such as the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary (the only place in Kenya to see these highly endangered animals), visits to Morani, a tame black rhino, night game drives, guided bush walks and camel-trekking across game-teaming plains.

Mara Intrepids Club

The most talked about destination in the world’s most talked about wilderness.  Sitting above a sweeping bend in the Talek River, at the confluence of the Masai Mara’s four game-viewing areas, the camp enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the entire Mara ecosystem.  All tents are luxuriously self-contained with a hot water shower and a flush toilet.

Leopard Beach Resort & Spa

Situated on Diani Beach, 34 km south of Kenya's bustling port of Mombasa, Leopard Beach Resort and Spa enjoys prime position on one of the world's most stunning beaches.  Tropical gardens drop onto the white sandy shores of the Indian Ocean below where calm waters and the coral barrier reef are a haven for divers.

Golf

Great Rift Valley Golf Club (2 rounds)

As Kenya’s most stunning championship course, the Great Rift Valley Golf Club, is shorter than other courses in the area, but equally challenging.  Its lush, springy fairways snake through the natural Lake Naivasha vegetation such as exotic acacia trees.

Muthaiga Golf Club

Treacherous bunkers await in front of the fastest greens in East Africa and flowering bushes come into play on almost every hole and make this course one of the prettiest to play.  Muthaiga, which was one of the Kenya's pioneer golf courses is home to the Kenya Golf Union, and each year in March plays host to the Kenya Open Championship.

Karen Golf & Country Club

Home of the Kenya Open 2004 and 2005 and considered by some to be one of the prettiest courses in Kenya because of its profusion of flowering trees and bushes, Karen Country Club is a must play.  The course is next to the house of Karen Blixen - the author of "Out of Africa" and situated in the colonial suburb of Karen.

Leisure Golf Club (3 rounds)

One of Kenya’s most challenging layouts, Leisure Golf Club is the only course on Kenya's south coast.  The course features American style bunkers and a lake alongside the 18th hole that is home to live crocodiles.  This course is certainly not for the weak-hearted.

Sights / Activities

Kisiti Marine Park and Reserve

For those of you who like your wildlife in the water as well as on dry land, take a dhow out to the reef at Kisiti Marine Park and Reserve and dive with the dolphins.  Enjoy snorkeling on one of the world’s top three barrier reefs or stay dry and take advantage of the on board viewing scope.  Enjoy a Swahili-style lunch before a peacefulf sail back to Shimoni.
