Many golfers simply don’t appreciate the size and scale of New Zealand until they start looking at potential golf itineraries for this popular golf destination. For those short on time, it often becomes apparent that a golf holiday on one, rather than both of the islands, is the way to go.

This 7-night golf break to the North Island of New Zealand offers clients the opportunity to experience the laid-back, cosmopolitan vibe of Auckland City, as well as play some of the world’s most iconic golf courses, such as Cape Kidnappers Golf Club and Kinloch Golf Club.

Designed by the legendary golf architect, Tom Doak, Cape Kidnappers Golf Course was completed in 2004 and quickly rose to the top of golfers’ bucket-lists around the world. Perched on top of towering cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the course has been deliberately designed to retain its rugged and natural feel. Golfers will notice that tees are marked with charming wooden pegs, and although luxurious inside, the roof of the impressive Clubhouse is clad in simple corrugated metal, in keeping with local building methods. The outstanding feature of this unique course, is its impressive bunkers and greens which have been designed to excentuate the natural land shapes they rest upon.

A highlight of this 7-night North Island, New Zealand package, is the 2-night stay at the luxurious Pullman Hotel in Auckland. With unsurpassed views of the City and the Harbor and just a short walk from the vibrant Viaduct precinct, this hotel is perfectly positioned to help you enjoy the best that Auckland has to offer.

No golf tour of the North Island of New Zealand would be complete without a round at the iconic Kinloch Golf Club over looking Lake Taupo. Completed in 2007, Kinloch Golf Course is a Jack Nicklaus design and reportedly one of his favourites. Built on volcanic terrain and with spectacular panoramic views over Lake Taupo, this course is more in the style of a classic British or Irish links golf course, than a typical Nicklaus design. The one aspect that you can be sure of, is that it will challenge you every step of the way.

With rounds in Auckland, Lake Taupo and the pretty art deco city of Napier, you will drink in plenty of stunning New Zealand countryside, during the short drives between each of these three golfing locations.
